The building is part of a broader planned concept of connecting the green areas and public spaces of the Albert University campus. The Bastion also includes access to hitherto unused and neglected sites and the construction of new public outdoor spaces. The aim was to create an attractive common goal for the inhabitants "in front of" and "behind" the wall, places of meetings, places to remember, places of concentration of human art…

The new object is designed as a hidden acropolis, which attracts with its content and processing, not visibility. Bastion offers many uses: a universal hall for exhibitions, social events or a cafe, facilities for the public and traffic. The exterior with an open front sliding glass wall facing the Vyšehrad panorama becomes a full-fledged part of the interior.
